2008/2009 IDP AND BUDGET  PUBLIC PARTICIPATION 23/04/2008

UMZINYATHI DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY and Nquthu Municipality host the 2008/2009 IDP and Budget public participation meeting at VA Makhoba Community Hall on Wednesday 23 April 2008

The Umzinyathi District Municipality Mayor Cllr. M. S. Yengwa shared platform with Nquthu Municipality Mayor Cllr. F. B. H. Mazibuko delivering budget speeches for 2008/2009 . Amakhosi, Councilors, Municipal Officials, CDW and Ward Committees were part of the meeting.

DISASTER RELIEF IN WARD 3              21/04/2008

One of Nquthu Municipal Wards has been once again striked by a disaster which left more than 100 families without shelter and food. It has been reported that strong winds and hail strike grace (Nkande)area in ward 3 on Sunday 20 April 2008.  

Umzinyathi District Municipality, Department of Welfare and Nquthu Municipality visited the area on Sunday night and Monday 21 April 2008 to offer disaster relief to the area
